Absolute Damned Nonsense!

Almost 200 drug-addicted convicts will share an astonishing compensation payout of almost £700,000 after the Government caved in to claims that stopping their use of drugs breached their human rights.

We as a society have lost the concept of right and wrong! So we will behave irresponsibly and stupidly! Used to be drug addicts wouldn't even have asked for much less sued for the "right" or compensation to use drugs! :shaking head in sorrow:
How much further can we fall? No, forget I asked that, I have a terrible idea!

If drug use is a "natural right" and cause for suit when denied or penalized by the state, what next?

Soon, rape and pedophilia crimes will not be punishable. Prosecutors would be afraid of being sued in Germany for violating these poor oppressed people's natural rights.

Europe is already sliding the slippery slope. In England, the rapist will get less punishment than the woman who elects to kill her rapist before being raped. Think I'm kidding?

The whole time I was drinking myself to death sixteen years ago,it never occured to me I was entitled to any compensation for it and one things for damn sure;if you want more of something, subsidize it,if you want less;tax it. These people should be made to pay for the damage they've done to society with their dysfunctional behavior, not rewared for it. Johnnymac.

I agree with you; I don't ask the sate to pay for my bad habits. Esp. if they caused all the other tax payers money. Look at the damage drunk drivers alone do...
