If I’m a Democrat, I’ve got to feel uncomfortable with an enemy state heralding my party’s triumph just because it views left-wingers as more easily manipulated and less protective of America. Sure they cheer for Democrats they think it is a slam on Bush, but it's really no difference than when the KKK comes out in support of Republicans or their policies, who cares what our enemies think.

tmw, i just don't believe it is fair to make this sort of connection, most democrats are Good patriotic Americans, who just see the world differently. Just because some Terrorist like that they won, dosen't mean anything, that would be like saying "oh my God look at the KKK they support the GOP they must be all Neo-Nazi's"
It's a unfair assestment and chartarization carried out by either side to compare them both because some crazy folks might support them.
Rob- I come from a long line of democrats on my Dad's side, he and his brother went rep. Freaked out the family! Let me give you a little background, my Grandfather came from an old Virginia slaveowner family. My Grandmother was from Colorado ranch, they hated indians, blacks, jews and anyone who wasn't a WASP! My Grandmother hated my Mother for being half German, BLONDE and Catholic from New York state! There was a lot of irrational, prejudicial, shameless hatred! It's not a characature, it's what I grew up with! Ask Nanc, her family is democratic! She'll give you the same story! Democrats tend to irrationality, oh and another tidbit of family history, the KKK is solidly democratic! Not republican, they hate republicans! And the "Jim Crow' laws were all dreamed up by and enforced by democrats! All those Southern sheriffs, politicians and preachers were solidly democratic! It toke a republican president, Eisenhower, to break the back of democratic control of the South by bigotted democrats! This isn't hearsay, I WAS THERE and it was MY FAMILY! Check your history, it was the democrats!

Jaguars pre-game update: Khalif Barnes was arrested last night going 110 MPH on JTB Boulevard. He failed all sobriety tests and was brought to our downtown "facilities." He's our best O lineman. Word is he'll play tomorrow. O joy.

20/20 had a part on how priviledged even HS athletes are! All the "little" perks that find their way into their pockets, and driveways and beds! That's why most college and pro athletes have a sense of entitlement and treat women especially shabbily! It was sick! Gladiators!

Politics IS nasty Robert. It's how we settle our ideological differences without killing each other. When the passions run hot in a free country we vote instead of shooting. That's the way it should be. Personally the ONLY time I want Dems and Republicans to get along and be less paaaaartisaaan is on foreign policy. We should present a unified front to the world. The treacherous Democrats couldn't even do that! They betrayed America once again. Outside of that partisanship is a good thing.

After my numerous memberships at Democratic Underground, and years of seeing their comments, I most assuredly DO NOT believe most Democrats are 'good, patriotic Americans'. I've seen them wish the President's plane would crash, they spread lies that he and Condoleeza are sleeping together, they call our gorgeous First Lady 'Pickles', call our veep a genocidal murderer and pray for his death--and that's run-of-the-mill insults from them.
