The DU d'RAT Review

I created this blog as a response to the hypocrisy, nastiness, and negativity at Democratic Underground. The D'RATS do not allow disagreement on their site; they demand their posters tout their party line word-for-word. Any poster who does not march in lockstep is immediately banned. Their cowardice in this, and their calumny towards America's leaders, will not go unanswered as I address the issues of the day--and one of the most negative, detrimental influences in the blogosphere.

Seattle Does Something Right!

School Bus Driver Fired For 'Flipping Off' President
ISSAQUAH, Wash. - An Issaquah school bus driver who was fired for "flipping off" President Bush is trying to get her job back.

The 43-year-old has filed a union grievance against the district, claiming wrongful termination.

Congressman Dave Reichert says the obscene gesture occurred as he was traveling in the president's limo in June on the way to a fund-raiser in Medina.
At a freeway ramp the limo passed several Issaquah school buses. The students waved to the president and Bush waved back. Bush was having a good time until he saw the driver. Bush turned to Reichert and said the driver had flipped him off.

Reichert later called the school district and the driver was fired in September. A spokeswoman, Sara Niegowski, says the gesture was "not at all appropriate modeling for students on the bus."

The level of vitriol and abuse heaped at President Bush has,as long as I can remember has never approached anything like this and the worst of it has come from Democrats.And it seems they go out of their way to do this in front of immpressionable schoolkids. what losers.J'Mac; 7:10 PM
