Perfect....and, from what I heard on talk radio yesterday from soldiers over there now, this is exactly how they feel.

WHY, OH WHY aren't soldiers SPEAKING OUT to the media? TELL THIS COUNTRY HOW IT FELT?

I get SO angry when the Left keeps winning and winning and darned conservatives keep their mouths shut....just damnable.

I don't think the soldiers are allowed to be too outspoken on tv. Besides, they, no doubt don't necessarily want to be in the spotlight; most of them just see the job they have to do. Murtha ought to be shot for treason!

Donal-When Dad was in the AF, it was held as proper behavior for a military person to REFRAIN from voting for a president. It was considered bad form and manners to vote for the Commander-In-Chief. The military is VERY aware of Congressional oversight, and how it is proper according to the Constitution.
So commenting on the "political" leadership was done; either positively or with great restraint!
The military tends to have better manners than the politicians!

Yes, many of the boys in Iraq have alluded to having to be circumspect--and they ARE much better mannered then politicians! God Bless your Dad!

I hope this comes back to haunt them in a bad bad way. Our men and women overseas deserve better representation.

Well, I hope the military DOES find a way to tell Americans how awful this is.

Last night, that dope Geraldo was in Iraq and interviewed a soldier who said how upsetting the Murtha stuff is, how they're feeling like they've been ignored and dumped on..yet, when Colmes said "So, Geraldo, how're they taking this...? Not too bad, huh?"
Geraldo says "well, you can see, they're just a LITTLE IRRITATED.."

as if NO BIGGIE. I just had to laugh.

before I cried.

But remember, our men and women in uniform deserve our support but they are not and should not be making foreign policy decisions. I know that is hard to separate the two but if our leadership, whether it is the President or Congress, says it is time to leave, they are bound by their constitutional duty to follow orders.

Boxer, I don't think anybody advocates our service people staying anywhere when they're told to leave. I think they'd be happy to go home...who wouldn't? I just personally wish they'd speak up somehow and let Americans know how they feel about this congress dumping the in the mud. After all, congress is SO "FOr supporting our troops"...how's about LISTENING TO THEM? HONESTLY LISTENING?

Z, Agreed. Congress will hear them loud and clear in '08. I think the swing to the Dem's in the last election by the armed forces was temporary and they will once again vote in a bloc for Republicans.

Forty years ago the Democrats stabbed the soldiers in Vietnam in the back. Forty years later and now they're doing to their sons and daughters serving in Iraq. Not only can you be condemed to relive history if you ignore it;you can condem others to suffer it if you choose to. The Democratic party is beyond despicable. J'Mac.

BOXER, do you know what percentage of soldiers voted Dem in November? i thought we still got the majority. Of course, I'd have NO problem believing ballots were messed with, either.

I voted in the '04 election while living in Paris, and you can't believe what it took....you can't imagine how many times I asked "are you SURE this is going to get into the bags on time?" And, of course, people who spoke NO ENGLISH (most don't at the American embassy, I had an American general at a dinner party later tell me the reason was we're afraid to lose people, so we hire foreigners! Honest to God, he said that!!) Anyway, I still am not sure my vote was counted.

sad.

Z,
No, I have no post election numbers but the pre-election numbers, conducted by AFT were pretty stark. A clear majority voting for the Dems. Who knows how that turned out. I will see if I can find anything.

Z-Here in Florida there was a huge stink about what happened to all the overseas military votes! MOST were disqualified, by dhimmicrat counters!
With so many posts, bases and ports in Florida, that went over like a pregnant polevaulter!!!!!!!!
