The DU d'RAT Review

I created this blog as a response to the hypocrisy, nastiness, and negativity at Democratic Underground. The D'RATS do not allow disagreement on their site; they demand their posters tout their party line word-for-word. Any poster who does not march in lockstep is immediately banned. Their cowardice in this, and their calumny towards America's leaders, will not go unanswered as I address the issues of the day--and one of the most negative, detrimental influences in the blogosphere.

Anonymous said...: I actually don't like signs and comments such as these. The late Ann Richards, former Governor of Texas, some men in the state used to refer to her as "our menopausal Governor" and I hated that. A person's anatomy and biological functions are not something within one's control. Ridiculing anyone for biological facts they are unable to change, like menopause or heavy thighs, is unfair and cruel. I don't like Hillary Clinton and I think she's dangerous and unqualified to be President, but it has nothing to do with her physique. Resorting to personal attacks is beneath our dignity and we should refrain from doing so.; 12:12 PM

Anonymous said...: It is a clever play on words, just unkind to Hillary. Why is it that our culture spends so much time ridiculing women's anatomies and biological characteristics? A man can be overweight, have bad teeth, balding pates and still be taken seriously. Seems like if you're not a Barbie doll, you've got 2 1/2 strikes against you going in. Seems unserious, shallow somehow. I realize the man who posted that KFC sign was just trying to joke a little.
