FROM DU: You Wanna Hear Crazy???

I Think If We Let Them, Repubs Would Bring Back Slavery

I really do, I honestly believe in my heart of hearts that certain repubs would be delighted to reinstate slavery. In fact I believe they promote a form of it with their policies toward 'guest workers' and overworked, underpaid foreign workers, some of which make our gadgets and goods under slave like conditions.

I believe they see themselves as plantation owners and we are merely workers out here, and we get paid way too much. I believe they see themselves as better than working class folks, of any color, and none of them actually work at all.

I think they miss those shiny, white plantation mansions with their huge entrances and their hidden slave quarters. I actually think that are literally trying to enslave the world in one form or another.

I suppose some will see this as a ridiculous notion, but look at it objectively and remember, our president's own grandfather made millions from the labor of doomed slaves at Auschwitz concentration camp, and our two bush presidents INHERITED IT.

Remember, these are the same fuckers who now tell us that torturing prisoners of war is just dandy. (Philosoraptor)

DUers Chime In:

-- I agree. As wealth becomes more and more concentrated there is little left that can be claimed by the non-wealthy. When all the water in the world is privatized, how much will you pay for a glass of it? One day's work for a glass of water and 2 slices of bread?

What will your options be? I know, the claim is that the free market increases wealth. But it doesn't necessarily increase the distribution of this wealth. As more and more wealth is concentrated in fewer and fewer hands, the non-wealthy have no means to gain access to this increased wealth.

--Their free market, not ours. They can encourage us to borrow money we can't take back, but we still have to pay them back. They can bribe legislators to do their bidding, but 300 million others go unheard. They can kill thousands and pay a fine if they're unlucky, but others go to jail for minor drug possession. And they get tax breaks while others get their legs blown off in their wars.

These bastards couldn't cope in a free market, let alone a society that put people first - they're just too addicted to power, theft and evasion of the responsibility even to pay tax or compete.

--Well, there is a difference... I doubt they would institute slavery on racial grounds again. Rather they'd want to enslave everybody who wasn't in the upper class. There's a lot of poor whites that would make just as good a slaves as poor blacks.

--I believe they have brought it back, but it is just not encoded in the law just yet. How about that case a couple of days ago of a rich couple out on Long Island who kept two Indonesian women in servitude in their household for years and years. The women slept on mats, paid a few bucks and were covered in cigarette burns and bruises. I don't expect this is just a single event.

--Absolutely. Slavery is great, if you're the slave master. And that's what these corporatist cocksuckers are putting themselves into position to be. The great joke of it all is that the mindless nimrods who put the fascists in power and agreed to all this shit are the ones who are going to be the slaves.

--It will not be called "indentured servitude" anymore. A person will be called a "Debt Relief Contractor"...

--The whole of the Rs is the weird fringe right; the fringe right is mainstream republicanism now--watch fox news for 3 minutes and you'll see. If you're a registered repuke and you voted for bush, you're a fascist boot licker. Republicans, every single one of them, are human garbage.
--You are limiting the term slavery to Africans. GOPers are likely to enslave anyone who is not a white Christian.

--I think they are looking at a feudal system to model... every peasant "free" to work for the feudal lord for a few morsals of food - and don't forget to pay your taxes to the king or you'll be thrown in debtor's prison.

-- We'll all be enslaved, and under the banner of "freedom". In some ways we already are. We have a feudal economy now, and it's getting more so all the time. Most people are in debt just for their survival (debt used to pay for food, medical care, etc.), and that debt keeps them from ever getting ahead. That's certainly a kind of slavery.

--Let them...WHO would stop them? They can do any damn thing they want and there is no one to stop them.

--I Still Have My Doubts About Who Actually Won The Civil War!!!

Of all the abject idiocy I've ever heard in my life, this wins the prize! This Leftist-inspired, communist agitprop is nearly more than I can take... Nevermind that it was the REPUBLICAN party that ended slavery (a slavery which the Democrat-held south was in no hurry to see go.) Nevermind that we're the wealthiest, most powerful nation on earth where you have unlimited options for making a good life for yourself. Nevermind that, without those 'corporate c***suckers' in a free market, we wouldn't have that wealth or be able to choose from among so many opportunities.

I mean, lets get real here... Instead of starving--living on that 'one glass of water and two slices of bread a day'--an increasingly large number of Americans, particularly those in the lower income brackets, are overweight, if not obese. The notion of 'a few morsels of food' as standard fare among them, in America today, is absurd.

A 'feudal economy'? We don't have a 'feudal economy' (and we're not on the barter system, and we don't use wampum...). We have the freest market, with the largest number of available goods from which to choose, in the world! We also have government welfare, free K-12 education, student loans for college, and a Social Security program for when we retire.

In debt for 'survival'? The term survival is relative; I know many people today who consider it to be terribly impoverished without their computers, IPODS, cell phones, plasma TVs, and a passably decent car in which to ride. 'Impoverished' to them means no swanky vacation every summer, no Spring Break in Cancun, no latest fashions, and not being able to have what they want the minute they want it.

'Debtor's prisons'? There ARE no debtor's prisons; the only people I've ever known held in jail over issues of debts were deadbeat fathers' who refuse to pay their court-ordered child support. They were not jailed precisely because they could not pay the debt but, rather, because they were in contempt of a direct order by the court.

Miss our slave plantations? You can't miss what you never had; no Republican/Christian/Conservative in America today has ever lived on a 'slave plantation' or owned a slave.

More and more wealth concentrated in fewer and fewer hands? The five wealthiest members of Congress are ALL Democrats (And I'm not sure that that even includes 'Family Compound Tedo, 5-House Kerry, or Vinyards Pelosi.) In regular America, the people that own the most and earn the most, pay the most taxes.

The idea that 'they see themselves as better than working class folks, of any color, and none of them actually work at all' is nothing but a pouty snort of sour grapes; you can't pay the majority of the share of taxes if you never do a days' work.

The rest of this sorry montage is propped up by conflating some cause-and effect relationship between drug use, tax breaks, getting one's legs blown off , and one Long Island couple holding two Indonesian women as house slaves!

Just like Rush Limbaugh says it's 'soup line America'. The DimDems are bound and determined to make things look as bad as possible--and then blame President Bush for the entire thing! Bush Derangement Syndrome has, once again, defined their world for them, measured out their happiness, and formed the parameters of their satisfactions in life.

I hope all those therapists who saw them through their first bout of this illness have an open place in their schedules. If this gets any worse, they're gonna need them!

Ranks right up there with the rant around here that the Democrats love the terrorists. Just sad that your mind can think in those terms.

ANON.--I don't 'think in those terms'; I am quoting DUers verbatim--I am reporting in 'those terms'. It's only you and yours that have been so accurately displayed for all the world to see. If you don't want it shown, then clean up the haters and malcontents and crazies in your own party.

I am just the messenger. That you wish to sweep it under the rug by demonizing me shows that you know just how irrational DUers/Democrats sound.

I agree.

Verity is right, Anonymous. Clean up your own party. You can't blame V for simply telling the world you are what you are.

The words your own people have said indict them thoroughly.

I think it is sad that you think the Democrats love the terrorists. You guys have said that over and over. Called them traitors, wanted to hang them, all kinds of 'crazy' stuff.

you think it's SAD, after reading THIS stuff?

Have you actually heard a reasonable conservative say Dems "love" terrorists? Or is it a guilt thing with you when your side actually PLEASES terrorists by wanting us out of Iraq, fighting the patriot act to make it easier for them, etc.?

I'd honestly like to know who you've heard, except in an utter RAGE over Democrat unwillingness to see the threat, say Dems LOVE terrorists.

Anon doesn't seem to think that the leftwing has more moonbats than he's willing to admit. When was the last time Democrats condemned a muslim terrorist attack? 9/11?

FLORIAN--DU has over 100 thousand members--and I read about 50-75 articles a day from all types of media--and I've never heard ONE Lefty/Dem condemn the muslims for 9/11. NEVER.

LES--You're gonna need proof to print the crap you did about us. I don't post ANYTHING without a verified URL to the direct source.

ZINLA--LES is going to have to prove that the Dems DON'T love terrorists before he can call us 'crazy' for saying it (IF he can prove we did say that).

The way the Dems aid and abet the terrorists, run to show weakness to them, undermine every measure Bush takes against them, and proclaim there isn't a war on terror can't be interpreted ANY OTHER WAY.

well, V-ink, maybe you HAVE said it, but those exact words? DEMOCRATS LOVE TERRORISTS? That's a kind of stretch! As I said her earlier, they ACT like they do, but they don't even SEE it...

You'd THINK being on the same side on so many issues with terrorists would at least show they're not pro fighting them hard...sorry if I stepped on toes saying Dems LOVE terrorists is nuts, but ..........well.

Someone please show me how the Democrat party is taking the threat of Islamic terrorism seriously. I do not know of a single candidate for president that can even see the threat, much less has any substantive proposals. One of the definition of friend is "non-hostile". So perhaps love is a stretch, but friendship is not.

Notice how Les changes the subject. Even with the sourced truth staring him right in the face, he still can't condemn the DUers.

Les, you are an ostrich. Why do you bother posting here, when you just keep getting your butt handed to you every time you open your mouth?

Just got an email I"m sending NO ONE because it's so frightening...a guy our FBI is desperately looking for a young man who passes himself as an Italian American, speaks perfect English, and is in charge of the 7 nuclear explosive devices aimed at Washington DC, LA, Houston, MIami, Vegas and Boston and NYCity. That ought to about finish America.

I'm sure most of our left would say it's an exaggerated threat OR it's because we're in Iraq...though this has apparently been in the planning for years.

I wish we'd wake up.

One more thing that hit me this morning -- where is the counterevidence? All Les has are platitudes and opinions. If the Democrat party is really not DU, not HuffPo, not DKos, then where are their masses of moderates? Where do they hang out? Where are their posts? In short, where's the beef?

RUSSET SHADOWS--That is an excellent point! Not only does Les not repudiate them, but no other Dem does either; seems like they know their own when they see 'em!

So do we...

ZinLA--Please, send any email you've got to me; I'm not scared of anything like that. I'd rather know what we're up against.

Les, we think the dems love terrorists because they consistently show that they love terrorists everyday - post after post.

The DU'er's who write this by and large don't work, they're trust fund babies, living off/with their parents, professional college students, slackers in general who have absolutly no clue as to how an enconomy works. Its also obvious they're historically ignorant(there's a shock, huh?). It was the Democrat party that was the party of slavery and Jim Crow and segragation and the Republican party that was formed as the anti-slavery party. Its was also the Republicans who founded the NAACP too. But of course, yoy couldn't convince these ignorant ,hateful little gits of any of this. Its funny, as I've related here before, I used to be a leftie and this is the same crap I used to spout. As I've also said, I learned this song, word and note from my old hippie/radical girlfriend. Yeah, ol' Charlene was a pip. The same nonsense about ''the power structure'', ''military-industrial/corporate oligarchs'', American imperialism'' yadda, yadda, bs. It never changes. J'Mac.
