Dem Priorities Are Made Clear

Bitter, Bitter--BITTER About Vitter

On DU's Latest News page--which lists 60 posts at a time--18 of them were devoted to Senator David Vitter and his admission that, in his past, he'd seen a prostitute. Despite the fact that he has owned up to and apologized for it, the Dems are trying to make as much hay out of it as they can. They're painting the story as graphically--and as nastily--as they can, with whoops of glee all around. However, with the usual Democrat party lapse in thinking, I notice the following inconsistencies:

--On this past July 4th, I didn't notice 18 posts of praise for this country--there were not even 8 of them...

--On Memorial Day, I didn't notice 18 posts of thanks for our troops, notice of their sacrifice, or gratitude for their work. Absent calling them 'poor boys, held as slaves by our government', or told they were getting 'gypped into signing up for 'Bush's War', there was no mention except criticism for the top...

--On Christmas, I certainly didn't see 18 calls to praise Jesus' birth, Happy Hanukkah--or anything else. There were no best wishes, blessings, or joy for the season...

--On Thanksgiving, there was not 18 calls for thanks for all we had, thanks to our leaders, thanks for our troops that keep us safe, thanks to God who gave us life, or thanks for our forefathers who gave us this country...

--On Veteran's Day, there was not 18 calls for gratitude for the men who'd sacrificed their lives for us, freed Europe and our own slaves, torn down the Iron Curtain and brought democracy to Japan/Germany, attempted to free Viet Nam, Korea, Cuba, fought our own War Of Independence and, still, defend millions around the world...

--On Labor Day, there was not any praise of our modern workforce and the success of capitalism. There was no gratitude for our robust economy and one of the highest standards of living on earth...

And on and on among the Democrats on the 'progressive' blogs, journals and message boards. Easter brings no note of Jesus' death and Rising, President's Day is a time of jeers, Photoshopped pictures, and ugly YouTubes of the President's aped speech, and New Years is reserved for making fun of Laura's clothes and speculating on how much the President 'had to drink' the night before!

Not only is there not 18 messages on one board of the good things in life, I scroll pages and pages, through hundreds of posts, and there's no thanks, no remembrance, no gratitude from these people on any note at all.

Throughout the rest of the year, all manner of Sandy Berger thievery, Peterson 'Cold Cash', DiFi hubby kickbacks, Pelosi 'subsidies', Murtha earmarks, Clinton rapes and abuse of subordinates, Ellison ties with CAIR, Hillary profiteering/lying, the-list-is-too-long-to name etc. wrongdoings will get pass after pass after pass from the Democrats. (The only thing they criticize their own for is not impeaching Bush and Cheney fast enough...)

They can laugh and jeer--and play their silly games--all they want. However, until they can put their priorities in order and express decent, humane thanks for our blessings--and fair coverage of their own players--they won't have any credibility. Poor mouthing and 'poor me-ing' everything, while living in the greatest country on earth, reveals how childlike, spoiled, and elitest they really are.

I don't understand. If this is "just sex", then what did Vitter do wrong? How is he any worse than Bill Clinton? Logically, the same rules should apply to both men, right?

Even worse about Bill--read my 'Fill Bill' on my sidebar. Vitter wasn't abusing a subordinate. I know what you mean, though--I thought the 'progressive' crowd would be championing this man...
