Congressman Calls Bush 'A Clown'; 'Can't Stand Him'
North Dakota's U.S. Rep. Earl Pomeroy calls President Bush a “clown” and says he “can’t stand” him in a new video posted on the Internet.
According to the Grand Forks Herald, the Democratic congressman was approached by a group called Grassroots America last week as he was walking the streets of Washington, D.C.
An Internet video shows Rep. Earl Pomeroy talking to a member of Grassroots America, in which he calls President Bush a “clown.” A group member had approached him asking about whether Bush should be impeached.
As he talked on a mobile phone, two women approached him and asked him about impeaching Bush, giving statistics of people who approve of the idea.
As a camera rolled, Pomeroy is shown to be clearly agitated by their questions.
“Most of the people I represent think that’s (impeachment) a horrible idea. I’m a Democrat, and I can’t stand this president, but I’m to represent the people that I represent and they are against impeaching the president,” Pomeroy said while pointing and waving his arms.

But, who can be surprised? Presidents Clinton and Carter have gone to EUrope and very rudely criticized Bush there...well, Carter doesn't wait for the protection of Europe's distance like Clinton did, he does it here, of course.
WHat blows my mind every day is how the Left can't get it in their thick skulls that there are still two viewpoints in American society; that it's not American to close down that viewpoint, insult it quite like they are doing, and that no people of any honor and love of country would insult the office of the presidency with the kind of ugly name calling the left does to this president. How can I continually be surprised? you'd think I'd be used to it by now.
As if the manatee in the black actually gives a flying "flip" about protecting the Constitution! I always think back to what David Horowitz says about leftwing extremists and the Constitution.
"The far left intends to use the Constitution as a radical weapon to weaken the American state."
Any time I hear these leftist idiots mention the Constitution I remember that they care not a WHIT about the 1st or 2nd Amendment!

You also made a great point about how easy it is for US to seem so much smarter than Dems/emoters/leftists and kooks of all kinds. When you have the TRUTH and COMMON SENSE on your side it's far easier to make an elegant and cogent argument. Since our arguments are factual and not emotional, they don't lend themselves well to soundbites or bumperstickers. They take twice as long.
You wanna know what lefties have on their side? A HUGE pile of bovine manure. Or eggs. They argue in the manner of a malcontent throwing these things at the beautiful American house. As might be expected it takes far longer to clean up the mess than it does to make it.

But, what I meant to say is that the stars, Sean Penn, Sarandon, etc., might just be sorry for their anti-war stance if/when things really start improving, as they seem to be.

If President Bush did go into Iraq simply to 'steal' oil, then where are the tankers lined up in the middle east, and the AC's guarding them? We have a limited number of refineries. If we were actually stealing Iraqi oil, tankers would be lined up from the Houston Shipping Canal to Key West for the processing of it. Where are they?
