Bloodthirsty Libs Overlook Vets' Sacrifice

Bloodthirsty Libs Overlook Vets' Sacrifice
By Craig R. Smith

This Veterans Day, a grateful nation recognized the sacrifice, heroism and honor demonstrated by the men and women who have served their nation in the defense of freedom. Most Americans have an overwhelming sense of appreciation and pride in the work all our veterans have performed in making us the greatest nation in the history of the world. That is if you are not a liberal Democrat.

Liberal are too busy criticizing and attacking our military to take even a moment to thank them for their service. Instead they refer to the finest people on the planet in some of the most vulgar and degrading terms a military service person can imagine. It is in their blood. They can't help themselves.

Comments like, "There was no firefight; there was no IED (improvised explosive device) that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood."

Or maybe we hear "There is no reason ... that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know."

Of course we are to believe that comments like, "If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime — Pol Pot or others – that had no concern for human beings," are spoken from the heart full of "patriotism." Our soldiers grouped together with the likes of Pol Pot, Stalin and Hitler? The folks that say this stuff are sick!

Then we hear the voices from the Senate claiming we have lost the war in Iraq while a daytime TV slob claims American soldiers have killed 650,000 innocent civilians. No basis of fact for either comment. Just the unbridled love they have for the soldiers is what inspires them to such outrageous comments, right? Love of country, right? All in the name of patriotism. Doing their part to "elevate the debate." Never concerning themselves with what their ridiculous words do to the morale of the troops or hopes of the enemy. They need psychiatric help.

I used to think that "derangement syndrome" was a joke. The real joke is that it's true! (I guess lying and exaggeration is part of the syndrome.)
