Democrats' 'F' Troop

Democrats' 'F' Troop
Investor's Business Daily

Iraq: Al-Qaida has lost in Baghdad and Anbar. Casualties are down. The surge has worked. So why are the Democrats, having gone 0 for 40 trying to stop the Iraq War, still trying to lose it?

The way things are going in Iraq, the war just might be won before the Democrats can get around to forcing a surrender or cutting off funding.

After promising voters to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, they have forced 40 votes, according to politico.com, on bills restricting deployments to or forcing a pullout from Iraq. They lost on all 40.

Their latest attempt, ignoring the good news from Iraq, was to attach a pullout mandate for as soon as December 2008 to a funding request for 2008 for Iraq. Rep. John Murtha of Pennsylvania says they are merely doing the public's bidding and that "the public wants the war over with."

What the public wants, we submit, is not to lose this war or any other. The general dissatisfaction with the war in Iraq was not due to the fact that we were waging it, but that we didn't appear to be making much progress. Gen. Petraeus' surge has changed all that.

The Dems, or is that Dums, have forced 40 votes, and lost all 40.

Thank goodness someone in Congress has some rational sense, and is stopping some of this foolish from passing into law!

Yes, J'Mac, F Troop was a fighting, and winning bunch of rowdy guys! I haven't thought much about them until I saw the sign Donal made. Good Job Donal!

I had to look up the show on the Internet. Really had a heck of a cast. I remember all of them.

When I really stop & think about the Democratic Party's positions, legislation they've tried and failed to pass and the anti-American rhetoric being spewed by Congressional Democratic leaders in both houses of Congress, I become enraged.

How can these elected, public servants, who swore oaths to defend this nation, betray their country, their constituents and their very oaths in such a cynical manner?

These people deserve to have the ever-loving s**t kicked out of them. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and all of their cohorts should be removed from office, by force, if necessary.

They are traitors. Political hacks who commit treason purely for their own party's power. To have these folks in charge, folks who have absolutely NO regard for the people of this country or the soldiers fighting and dying to defend us, is an outrage.

The American electorate had better correct this grievous error in the next election. God help us if we don't.
