Am I naiive here ? My entire life, it's always been the sitting President's "duty" to call for a cease-fire/truce/peace in a war along with diplomacy. I am absolutely astonished that, so far, no one has seriously taken him to task publicly for being so insanely aloof. What is it going to take for Republican senators with intact brains to go to the White House and ask him to resign ? Yeah, I know we'd get Darth Cheney but at least we'd force him out of that damn bunker for a while. (steve2470)

What If... We Never Went To War In Gulf War One?
I heard a woman bring this concept up on KGO one night about 2 years ago. Had we not went to the Gulf War the first time under Pappy Bush, Bin Laden would not have been pissed enough to want to terrorize the U.S. That is WHY he bombed us several times he said. That we set soldiers on holy land. What would have happened if we had let Kuwait fight it's own war against Saddam? More than likely they would have still won with the help of Sandi Arabia. Nothing good has come out of us being there. Especially since Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11 and we attacked it pre-emptively. Now Isreal and other countries think it's ok to attack first. To End Terrorism, Unjust Military Occupation Must Stop
You want to end terrorism? End unjust military occupations. By all means have Syria conduct an orderly withdrawal from Lebanon if that is what the Lebanese public wants. But Israel needs to withdraw from the Golan Heights, which belong to Syria, as well. The Israeli military occupation of Gaza and the West Bank must be ended. The Russian scorched earth policy in Chechnya needs to stop. Some just disposition of the Kashmir issue must be attained, and Indian enormities against Kashmiri Muslims must stop. The US needs to conduct an orderly and complete withdrawal from Iraq. And when all these military occupations end, there is some hope for a vast decrease in terrorism. People need a sense of autonomy and dignity, and occupation produces helplessness and humiliation. Humiliation is what causes terrorism. (cynatnite)

These people hate the president SO much, and intensity is growing by the hour, it seems. Already I heard an American student on the phone on FOX this morning saying she and her fellow American and European/Middle Eastern dorm mates are slamming Bush for not getting them out of Lebanon fast enough.
This'll be the ME version of Katrina, folks...wait for it. Paige Hopkings at FOX should have answered "we're sending those buses still waiting in New Orleans to come get you out..okay?" (smile)

Every time that Soc feels the pressure and someone outs another alias a new poster comes around to do his dirty work. DG is the latest Soc clone.
Soc clones reveal as little as possible. I have had numerous conversations with this alias who claims to be from Vermont and live in or near Union Square with no local knowlegde of either place.
Have locals start asking NYC questions and this alias will unravel. Let JMac ask a few questions and it will be over. Snow always appeared at the same time as Meathead. How is it Snow could not discern a thinly guised fake Professor Meathead?

Meathead was clearly Soc and as soon as I ratled his cage he invented a new charachter to do his dirty work. Batya has exposed the absurdity of his claims and Snow and Meathead posted at the same times.
Moreover, his claims to be a Vermonter and a NYC resident have
proven to be false. A person who at various times claims to work near Union Square but has zero local knowledge is a joke. What type of scientist can not readily see through an impostor?
