DU Wants To Change Israel's Name To Something Else

FROM DU: A Win-Win Solution: Change Israel's Name To Something Else

The folks who don't want "Israel" to exist "win" because its got a new name, and then the inhabitants of the region can do a "one person/one vote" thingy where they install a new government that represents everyone. Granted, its not a religious theocracy for either side, but its got possibilities. My two cents on the middle east disaster. (IdaBriggs)

DU Chimes In:

--Actually, changing the name would end a lot of confusion on behalf of the over-the-top pro-Israel people. I think a lot of them confuse todays Israel with instances of the word "Israel" in the Bible. (ComerPerro)

It would 'end a lot of confusion'? Some of us aren't 'confused' AT ALL. They think Israel's government isn't representative??? And they actually believe that the present-day state of Israel is DIFFERENT than the one mentioned in the Bible????? Just where in the hell do these people go to school?

Do they understand that having or not having a 'representative' government isn't the problem? Do ya think it'll dawn on them, one day, that those people don't want any sort of Israeli government AT ALL?

There's no excuse for such idiocy!

NANC! You're a hoot this morning! You should've seen the thread where some dedicated idiot wondered why Israel hadn't been located in the United States!
