My Take: It Was the Hate That Won

No Lemonade To Make...

I've been thinking a lot about the election... sure, in many ways, it was the Republicans own fault. I'd agree with that easily enough. However, at the same time, I think this will be the end of a do-something government. Nothing will be done to fight the war on terror. The D'RATS will rule simply to win the presidency and the power for themselves in '08 and beyond. Keeping us safe is not a concern of theirs.

I think they'll try and play both ends against the middle--ultimately, so nothing good will happen--and we'll be back to where we started (and worse). I well remember the fatal inaction of the Carter/Clinton years--and we're in for the same sort of tepidness and lethargy. I get tired even thinking about it.

Israel will have to be it's own ally; the D'RATS will never regard her safety as a priority.

Taxes will rise, there will be more immigrants than ever, more divisiveness--life is going to go downhill in a serious way and, at the end, we'll will just have another 9/11 to which to look forward.

They will bring up every petty offense for which to impeach the GOP years and every GOP politician on which they can manufacture a scandal. They will try and make conservatives look as bad as they can--and it is already working. (The Foleys and Neys of our party don't need to give them a hand!)

Our government is going to dissolve into games of 'gotcha', no safety from terrorism, no safety from mindless immigration, higher taxes, a worse job market--and always blaming it all on the Republicans. The best we can do is to hunker down and steel ourselves to this--and try and take it the best way we can. Sometimes, life is not good. This will be one of those times and we must be adult about it and face it with courage.

I wish I could have a more positive attitude, but I can't. It was the Democrat hate that won them the elections--it was stronger than our fears for an unsafe America. Denial and outrage ALWAYS sells just great.

Every conservative needs to:

1). Find a group of like-minded individuals and support each other as best they can.

2). Do what you can to always defend America and her allies.

3). Keep yourselves and your families safe.

This will be life as we know it--stay out of tall buildings and fly as little as you can.

At the very least. Matthew 24 is as good a starting place as any! That's why we are community! G*D knew this was coming, so, be prepared!

Yes, TMW, we will have to steel ourselves and be there for each other and our country.
