Thank You, Mr. Secretary!
I created this blog as a response to the hypocrisy, nastiness, and negativity at Democratic Underground. The D'RATS do not allow disagreement on their site; they demand their posters tout their party line word-for-word. Any poster who does not march in lockstep is immediately banned. Their cowardice in this, and their calumny towards America's leaders, will not go unanswered as I address the issues of the day--and one of the most negative, detrimental influences in the blogosphere.

Rumsfeld was a legend! I love him. He will be missed. This Gates that's taking his place doesn't sound so great a prospect--I read that he wants "dialogue" with Iran. As long as the dialogue is in the form of missiles and bombs that's great.
I agree, Florian.
Nothing hastens "negotiations" like a smart bomb through the presidential bunker.
Gates is not too bad -- his accomplishments are legendary, too.
But he will never be a Rumsfeld, true.
This happened awfully fast...
I heard the President's press conferance and wasn't very impressed. Rumsfeld is a HELLUVA guy and will be sorely missed. IMHO he will someday be judged as one of our greatest public servants. It's a distinct possibility that he saw the handwriting on the wall with the elections of the radicals to congress and said, "I'm too old to put up with this garbage!" That's my guess.
Morgan
Yes, I agree--I think his age is working against him.
DONAL too few people realize how fortunate we are to have people like Rice and Rumsfeld serving our country for relative chumpchange when they could be doing SO much better in so many ways in the private sector. Can you even imagine how many times he has wanted to take a Louisville slugger to some sh-tty little leftist putz like David Gregory!?
Morgan
Donal, are you sure that's a picture of Rumsfeld?????!!
I saw the Pres's press conference, too, morgan, and I was very sad about it.....there was something about it that just didn't strike me as honest, and I"ve never felt that about Bush no matter HOW inarticulate I found him. This bothered me BIG TIME.
I was wondering, too, Donal.
The picture looks more like one of Pat Robertson than Rumsfeld. It could just be the angle.
Duckless, aren't you late for becoming a Chinese dinner.
Yeah, I guess all those "No Gay Marriage" referendums are a sure sign leftwing nuts like you have taken over.
Uh huh.
We got a spanking we deserved -- for electing too many spineless bastards to Congress. We can fix that. However, Democratic stupidity and idiocy is genetic and it can't be fixed. Sorry, Ducky.
YOU GUYS! It was the angle--and the fact my pic program made it a little wide. I replaced Mr. Secretary!
