'Over the Horizon', Indeed!

Reality Check II

The Democratic takeover of Congress has predictably led to a rise in calls for the immediate withdrawal of American troops from Iraq. The authors of these calls, like Carl Levin and Joe Biden, frequently maintain that their proposals are not for "withdrawal" but for "redeployment."

U.S. forces would remain poised on bases in Iraqi Kurdistan, Kuwait, or elsewhere in the region to support the Iraqis with "rapid reaction forces." The United States would thereby both "incentivize" the Iraqis to take responsibility for their own security and give them an over-the-horizon safety net. The trouble is that this "safety net" is illusory. It serves only to mask out-and-out withdrawal and
defeat.

The MSM recently characterized the calls for withdrawal this way:

"Emboldened Democrats now calling for complete redeployment of American forces in Iraq."

This is how the Democrats with the collusion of the MSM try to sneak their socialist, appeasement policies past Americans: they reinvent the language.

Polls show Americans do not want a cut-and-run policy in Iraq; what they want is someone willing to do what is necessary to stop the violence that continues to plague that country. But who in the Democratic Party are getting facetime on the news? The cowardly bunch like Kucinich, McGovern and the rest of the Yellow-Streak Democrats. They never knew a war they didn't want the US to lose and they'll "cut funding" to ensure the terrorists win.

But this is a good thing for a while. Americans haven't seen Democrats in action for a few years and maybe this is just the reminder to them why they kicked them out to begin with.

Let's face it, they want us to cut and run and then they hope that the pictures out of Iraq are as bad as possible. The Dems aren't about to take responsibility for the resulting carnage-anyone remember Cambodia?-but they will continuously point to Bush's failed war as reason #1 to vote for Shrillary the lesbian.
Sorry for the tone DONAL, I'd love to whip Levin and Murtha's sorry asses! These leftists are the world's most pathetic and selfish animals.

Prairieson is right... We don't want cut and run, so the Dems will therefore do it anyway and just call it something else.

I remember getting whipped when I tried that crap with my parents...

Guys, don't call women lesbians, fat cows, or anything else about their appearance or sexuality. After the Socrates thing, I have to draw a line somewhere.

Hillary provides enough fuel with her lousy ethics, her lying and stealing, her power-mad sense of entitlement, and putting up with that amoral husband of hers. If you want to insult her go for broke with those things, please.

Brooke--Yes, my parents, too, didn't listen to any doubletalk and blabbering from us. My dad had a REALLY short fuse where damned nonsense was involved--he didn't 'nuance' the thing!
