Legal Experts Warn About Significance Of the Fort Dix 6 Arrests
McClatchy-Tribune
Wary of a number of federal anti-terror cases that proved to be overblown, two legal experts cautioned about attaching too much significance to Tuesday's arrest of six Muslims for plotting to attack Fort Dix.
The federal government's strategy to aggressively intervene early with any suspected terrorism plot, no matter how small, has sometimes resulted in prosecutions that failed to live up to their initial billing.
"The fact is that most of those arrested (in the past) are small fry and wannabes," said Daniel Benjamin, a terrorism expert at the Brookings Institution in Washington. "That's a reflection of the fact that al-Qaida has a hard time getting people in here and has higher priorities."
Federal prosecutors in New Jersey were quick to note that the six men arrested Tuesday — all from the former Yugoslavia and the Middle East — had no known ties to international terrorists. The arrests were initially announced from the White House, attaching a significance that implied it was more than a homegrown conspiracy.

The traitorous rat bastards at DU have offered this one up for public consumption. The Democrat party is helping the terrorists all they can by minimizing the foiled attack on Ft. Dix, reducing it down to a criminal offense instead of a terrorist action, and neglecting to mention that the Ft. Dix 6 were recent converts to Islam (they've been touting their ethnicity--Albanian or Yugoslavian--rather than their religious affiliation--MUSLIM).
That's OK Nanny Pelosi, Rabbit-Ass Murtha, Traitor Harry--and lousy, ugly, damned Democrat Underground; we'll even keep your perfidious, undeserving asses safe. We're Americans (I don't know what the hell you are...)
Sorry folks, but this has me absolutely furious.

Gosh, do they even read the news? Is it just all delusion with them?
Actually it isn't DU, but the Houston Chronicle that published this article. DU, just like the DudeRat Review simply provided a link and forum.
Why does the Houston Chronicle hate America so much to discuss the fact that sometimes cases arent what they seem to be? Maybe not this one, but certainly the Miami 'terrorists' who just wanted new shoes and uniforms.
It's amazing, isn't it? they could have killed many of our soldiers, but "no biggie.....don't act on everything you hear".
With people like this writing in our papers and going on TV, the terrotists must be laughing their butts off! Kind of wish I were on their side, they sure have a lot more laughs a day than I'm feeling watching our news.
LIM--Of course DU simply provided a forum--but they obvious agree with what is said or--out of all the articles in the blogosphere--they would not have chosen this one.
Many of their members also dialed in to add comments of their own--so LIM, they DO own this one.
Z--Yes, look at Les... he's more concerned with who I attribute it to rather than the soldiers that could've died--or that DU and the Houston Chron. would go so far to downplay it.
Leave it to some liberal gibble-gabble to reduce this down to the same mish-mash that's between their ears.
But aren't you providing a forum also by posting the exact same article? Just wondering.

Boxer--I provide a forum in which to state this is wrong, that the Houston Chronicle and DU are wrong. It would be hard to do that--and not entirely fair--to state something is wrong without showing exactly what it is.
Whatever you choose to read into it past that is not my problem. This crap is everywhere. The chances of someone reading this article without having seen the material elsewhere is small--and what if they did? Then I'd be the first exposure to it --and they need to know what the traitorous Left and DU is up to.
