FROM DU: WARNING TO Lurkers Without A DU Account Who Work For Exxon/Mobil Or Own An Exxon/Mobil Gas Station:

Many people see that you give a lot of money to the Republican party. A lot of people have now had to suffer for over a year paying prices per gallon from $2.50 to $3.25.

If you lurk here and do not have a DU account, tell your gas station owner, tell your upper management that a purchasing strike exists conducted by those who agree with me that unless Exxon/Mobil gas stations prices their gasoline down to $1.75 a gallon we will not go to your gas station for anything. We will not buy Exxon/Mobil gasoline but more importantly we will not get our cars repaired at your Exxon/Mobil station and we will not buy any food or other items at your convenience stores.

We can easily go to another gas station. When the economic pressure mounts on the station owners, then perhaps the parent company will get pressure from their gas station owners to do as we ask.

OK Lurkers who don't have DU accounts, go tell your fellow Exxon/Mobil management and gas station owners we mean business for someone else until you lower your prices to $1.75 a gallon. No more gas gouging. (liberaldemocrat7)

Yep, it makes perfect sense to me; bring down the little gas station handlers who support the capitalist business to which we are all beholding. It's better to give your money to nice guys like Hugo Chavez and CITGO.
Just make sure we can't drill in ANWAR, or the Gulf...

Tell these babies to go buy gas (and their Fritos chips) in Europe, if they don't like the prices here.

Did any of these fools study anything remotely useful in college? Like economics or accounting? The price of gasoline is based on the price of oil -- a commodity.

Don't they understand a damn thing about the world commodities markets, supply and demand, free trade, capitalism?

Good grief. These people are so in need of professional help. The poor things, I had no idea...

Patsy, they bitch about people not having enough jobs here, and our society being so decrepit, even as they try and close WalMart, Exxon, HomeDepot--even tangerine truckers!

What???? Unemployment rate is at 4.5%. It hasn't been that low in 25 years. What are they talking about?

I don't know, Patsy, hon--you know how it is with them: If Bush is President, then quality of life is in the crapper!

I hope these little darlings have a bicycle in good working order or a good pair of walking shoes.

These clowns understand nothing about economics or free markets.

The depth of stupidity at DU simply astonishes me.

Rest assured, this is one boycott that will go absolutely nowhere. But I bet the poster felt important while posting it, though.
