FROM DU: "The Commonist Manifesto"
Capitalism is a great way to move goods and services. However, it makes for a lousy state religion. Capitalism is broken, and we all know it. People with a serious interest in the status quo are keeping Capitalism going, on their terms, for their profit. Consumers of Capitalism are keeping it going, because we all have to eat. People need to make a living, and Capitalism has most of the jobs. Capitalism as a way to move goods and services is not a problem. Capitalism as a tool of social control for profit and as a means of oppression for profit are problems. It is time for us Consumers to address this.
Capitalism has used its power to purchase Government, and it has done so for two reasons. The first is to remove as many regulatory hurdles as possible, in order to keep costs and oversight down. Capitalism does not like Government looking into its books and paying taxes. Secondly, Capitalism wants everything on the planet to be for sale, or as a compromise it wants Government "services" to be operated for profit. Capitalism gets offended when someone gets something for free.
When there was a major competing economic system, Capitalism had to give the appearance of behaving itself, in order to be the more attractive system. People would and still do overcome incredible obstacles in order to live a life inside of Capitalism. Now that there is no real competition, Capitalism has let its Smiley Face down, and it's bloody teeth are bared. As a monopoly system, Capitalism has to create tension within itself since there is very little from outside. Monsters and Heroes are artificially hyped to keep the Consumer on edge and buying stuff that she doesn't really need, and the system creates economic slaves to manufacture all that stuff.
With little or no regulatory oversight in place, Capitalism can create the conditions necessary to negatively impact the global climate, and then hope to profit from the ensuing chaos. Entire cities are at risk when Capitalism prevents Government from doing its job. Capitalism has also been known to start wars for resource control, based on false and manufactured reasons. When Capitalism, or any economic system, puts the lives of its customers and workers at risk simply to create more profit for those few at the top, then it becomes time to tweak or replace that system.
"CommoniZm" Is A Brand, Not A Product
The writers of this Manifesto have reserved the domains commonizm.org and commonizm.com, as well as several others. We are in the process of creating a number of avenues for generating income for our project. And, we feel that it is important to do this without borrowing money from the banking system. Interest is one way that the rich get richer without working for it.
The long-term goal of this project is to create a new voice in the marketplace. A voice for balance and rationality. A voice that says "you don't have to buy things from criminals." A voice that says "profit, not wealth, is what needs to be redirected." A voice that says "the CEO doesn't need to make 400 times more than the janitor. 20 or 30 or even 50 times more is plenty." None of the old methods for creating change are working, so it's time to try a fresh approach.
We are starting a company called The Commonist Capitalist Corporation, or ComCapCorpCCCp* for short. That will soon reside at comcapcorpcccp*.com. We will begin offering a line of products for sale. We hope to slowly increase our catalog of products, to the point where it is possible for us to offer anything that can be bought over the internet... (The_Commonist)
Folks, this is nothing but pure, unadulterated C O M M U N I S M--and everyone needs to be aware of this new move by the Left, and do whatever they can to combat it. The lies they tell about capitalism are legion and easily apparent. All their catch-words, slogans, mottos and epithets are in place; we're painted as the Bogeyman--and capitalism as responsible for the ruinination of the entire world. (This gets so tiresome...)
Just take a look at the quality of shoes in 1965 Bulgaria, the standard of living in Irkutsks during that same time and, as dear Bill Whittle dryly observers--look what direction the rafts are floating between Cuba and the United States--to know the true end-result of a communist economy. It makes no difference how it's repackaged, renamed, razzle-dazzled-up--or touted as the next Leftist path to Utopia.
Please, force yourself to wade through this miasma of nonsense so you know about this next stunt that they have in the works; Karl Marx will never die and, unlike old soldiers, it seems that he won't ever really fade away either...
