Uh oh Barack's stuck his little foot in his mouth again! He's "embarrassed" that many Americans go abroad with no foreign language skills.
What a SNOB!

Is he embarrassed that people in LATVIA OR, MADAGASCAR, OR IRKUTSK, OR VAN, OR TEHRAN, OR SOWETO ETC. don't know proper english?

I'd ask his wife to teach li'l Bam but, after reading her college thesis, it turns out she doesn't know proper english either. I think they should both be embarrassed about THEMSELVES.

LES--You are no longer welcome to post here. You add absolutely nothing to the conversation, nothing positive, nothing intelligent.

You insult my good long-time posters and you lie about being a vet. You post utter garbage under 'anon'--like we're not going to know it's you--and you seem to have nothing productive going on in your life--so go elsewhere.

As for myself and my posters... I'm involved in constructive activities that take me offline much more often.

TMW runs our prayer group and keeps up with all of us, she's also fixing up her house and has a young man investigating a career in the military. She has sent care packages to those of us who are in need (though she's raising two teenagers and doesn't have a lot of extra herself) and she prays every single day for those who need healing, those who need faith, for those who need love--and she shows us every single way she can, with every bit of love she can.

Fairest Witness is busy with her husband building a fantastic airline-related business that is very productive and necessary for America. They are very generous to their employees and they do everything they can to build the employability of the area in which they live, help the people around them have a good standard of living, and provide a very necessary service for the commerce in this country. When they were not at work, they have just spent YEARS making sure that her husband's father left this world as comfortable and as loved as was humanly possible (it was NOT an easy journey).

Morgan has his own very sucessful business, he's raising a family, and he organizes our holiday military drops that we all contribute to every year (as well as being involved in local/national politics.) He's a very devout man and his strength of character and generous heart ALWAYS keeps us all going.

J'Mac keeps his family going and does personal counseling wherein he has helped lots and lots of people (you'll never meet a finer man) he's our site historian who has visited Washington DC and the memorials there and he has personally thanks the vets he sees there; he makes sure we keep up on America and that we know why America is the great country that it is. He took care of his mom before she passed away and, before she did, he gave her an 18-year old gift that truly had to be the finest thing she'd ever, ever dreamed of.

Bobcat takes care of his mom in Northern California, is working on a degree in electronics, and he's a deacon in his church.

Cassie is a home health aide and she's raising her nephew for her sister who has passed away.

Mikki is taking care of her husband after his surgery and EVERY SINGLE DAY reminds us of our God, that she and He is thinking of us, and to pass the Good News on. Mikki is our bit of God's spirit who is walking among us here on earth everyday (like the Merry Widow and AlwaysOnWatch).

WHAT HAVE YOU EVER DONE ANYTHING AS FINE AS ANY OF THESE PEOPLE (myself excluded), LES. All I've seen you do is bitch and moan--and make the world a worse place to live. Glad that's you and not me and my nice group of friends!

Even my occassional--and not long-term--posters add more to my life, the life of my readers, and this blog than you EVER will with your constant negativity.

Donal, your post was filled with so much love, so much regard, so much respect. You have touched my heart so movingly. Thank you so very, very much for that glowing description of me and my hubby. You truly made my year with this post.

And your observations of all the other posters who frequent your website are spot on. We are indeed very lucky to have one another. I had kept hoping Les would learn something of this world and its greatness from the heart of this website, which is you, the leader of this forum.

Although you have had many challenges in your path lately, you never, ever complain. You have been an example to us all about how one faces, deals with and triumphs over the adversities and difficulties life places in our path. Your ability to maintain your sense of humor, even when those of us who are less would be crying and complaining, you find something positive and encouraging to share with us all.

Your passion & faith in this nation and our way of life inspires us all to do more to defend our country. Your devotion to our military reminds us all of their sacrifices and our responsibilities to them.

Your defense of Israel and the information you've provided us all has taught us about what a true international friend is and how important Israel is to our future security.

Even your forbearance of Les has been an inspriation in tolerance and patience.

Your devotion to your dear husband, Paul, and sister, Chomp, have revealed the true meaning of family.

In short, you are an incredible role model in grace, dignity, patriotism and righteousness. We are all honored to share your life.

God bless you, dear, dear lady!

Love, Pat

Gosh, FW, that was quite a tribute--thank you so much. it really meant the world to me! My best wish would be that I could live up to those beautiful words and loving thoughts you've sent my way, and all the rest of the 'DU d'Rat Irregulars'.

Les is just a 'Rat'... and, thus, seemed to need a good lesson on who comprises my 'blog traffic' that he thinks is so woefully lacking. I thought I'd tell him just who he is dealing with--not those with his weaselly, shallow-hearted little self.

Les, go away.

Fairestwitness, Dear Pat, your kindness to Donal flows from every word. Your words mean so much to my Dear Sis; she is beaming with happiness! You have a special gift to be able to express such love through words that we do not all have. Thank you for sharing them with us.

Donal is a schweetie who has reached her hand out to help others too.
In other words, we all have lives, we live them, and help raise each other up when we have tough times.
Les, have you done the same?
Donal-That was really sweet of you, thank you!
And you're pretty special too, you could complain about your health, but we don't get an "organ recital" from you, just info, fun stuff and nifty graphics!
And believe me, they can bring a smile on an otherwise rough day!
Hey, y'all, been busy, busy, busy...vinyl tile is a booger to get up!
