Kudos To the Mounties!
The delivery of three tonnes of ammonium nitrate to a group suspected of plotting terrorist attacks in southern Ontario was part of an undercover police sting operation, the Toronto Star has learned.
The RCMP said yesterday that after investigating the alleged homegrown terrorist cell for months, they had to move quickly Friday night to arrest 12 men and five youths before the group could launch a bomb attack on Canadian soil. (http://www.thestar.com)
I know that, frequently, Canadians don't always care for Americans. However, Canadians are, at bottom, our good neighbors and brave folks. We all need to give them a round of applause for stopping a terrorist move that could easily have spilled over into America. They're the best friends we could ever have!

Yes,thank God the Canadians were on the job here.Its Liberal Canada that has given America a bad immpression of our nieghbor to the north however I don't know if conservitive Canadians really understand America,still they're a much better nieghbor to have than Mexico.Johnnymac.
This IS a step in the right direction for them. They've been sticking it to us for a couple of years now, let's hope this starts a trend.

Much of the anti US sentiment comes from Quebec. More oddly the French Vermonters loathe the Quebecois.
Um Donal. Canada didn't exactly rejoice at our going into Iraq. I think Britain, Australia, Italy, Poland and Japan would clearly be better "friends" than Canada.
In any case I'm glad they nabbed the muzzie plotters. Good riddence.
FLO Yes...perhaps I am guilty of a bit of wishful thinking, or fervent hoping but, due to their proximity, they're still the best friends we could have. And I do believe they'd pull with us if we were attacked. Many of their faults I blame on a liberal PM of the times.
