"Greenpeace", Indeed! You Can't Make This Stuff Up...

Greenpeace Builds Replica of Noah's Ark
Breitbart

Environmental activists are building a replica of Noah's Ark on Mount Ararat—where the biblical vessel is said to have landed after the great flood—in an appeal for action on global warming, Greenpeace said Wednesday.

Turkish and German volunteer carpenters are making the wooden ship on the mountain in eastern Turkey, bordering Iran. The ark will be revealed in a ceremony on May 31, a day after Greenpeace activists climb the mountain and call on world leaders to take action to tackle climate change, Greenpeace said.

"Climate change is real, it's happening now and unless world leaders take urgent, decisive and far-reaching action, the next decades will see human misery on a scale not experienced in modern times," said Greenpeace activist Hilal Atici. "Those leaders have a mandate from the people ... to massively cut greenhouse gas emissions and to do it now."

Many countries are struggling to address global and national standards for carbon emissions. U.N. delegates are meeting this week in Germany to prepare for December negotiations on a new set of international rules for controlling emissions. The new accord would succeed the Kyoto Protocol, which ends in 2012.

Climate change will also be on the agenda when the Group of Eight major industrialized countries—the U.S., Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada and Russia—meet in Germany in June.

LES--Please post a topic under the article to which it refers; I'm not going to have you follow my posters all over this board in an elaborate game of 'Gotcha'.

I do not consider Slate a credible source; they are absolutely biased. For instance, the lawyers serve at the pleasure of the President--he doesn't need a reason to fire them (and they weren't investigating HIM, as the Clinton fired-attorneys were).

Bush did not torture anybody, nor did he approve of Abu Ghraib. That was done by a very small group of twisted soldiers who were ultimately brought to justice. As far as 'torturing' terror suspects, that has been exaggerated by the press and it in no way bespeaks of the torture that goes on in other countries.

The idiots at Gitmo are griping about not having bouncy enough balls for their recreation, having to read an unpopular newletter, and having to bath with unscented soaps and shampoo. I suppose you consider this 'torture', too...

And Valerie Plame wasn't covert, so there was no 'outing' done by anyone.

Before you get on your high horse about deleted emails, please have YOUR Sandy Burgler to explain what was in the classified documents HE stole...

Lastly, Halliburton was awarded jobs because they were ready to go to Iraq with the needed equipment--and they were the best ones to do the job there.

Meanwhile, you can explain the 90K in Jefferson's freezer, Pelosi's husband's water deal, DiFi's contracts to HER husband, Harry Reid's land deals, and Obama's shady real estate interests.

Throw in Murtha's AbScam, Clinton's selling rides on Air Force 1 and 2 and nights in the Lincoln bedroom, all the stuff they stole from the White House, and his selling our nuclear technology to the Chinese.

When you're done with that, you can go a little further back and make Kerry turn over his military records--incl. his duplicitous pardon by Jimmy Carter, his slander of the troops, his phony Purple Heart Medals, and his lying about going to Cambodia.

You want something closer to home? Then talk about Pelosi and Ellison's trip to Syria and their undermining this admin. and violating the Logan Act.

Or we can always talk about how Ted Kennedy and Carter sought to double-deal with Russia to bring Ronald Reagan down.

We won't even get into Clinton sabotaging our military and being responsible for 9/11... or the unfair witch-hunt against Scooter Libby.

At least our people try and own up to what they do wrong and, like Foley, acknowledge the wrong and resign. Democrats just deny, lie, and try to blame their faults on us.

Case closed.

Building an ''ark'' on Mt. Ararat? I didn't think the Turks let anyone up there? J'Mac.

Les, you embody everything that is childish about liberalism. Let's analyze.

One -- posting off-topic flamebait.

Two -- extremely low reading comprehension skills. Verity blew your arguments out of the water and then you deny that she was on topic.

When will you grow up?

Funny that Turkey, of all countries, would be building this ark...How's about someone at the EU asking for them to release Mt Ararat to teams of scientists eager to inspect the huge ark-shaped block within the mountain one can see in Xrays...

Maybe they'll be afraid finding the real ark won't agree with Mohammed's theories of islam, huh?

les, les, les...Everyone KNOWS the Republicans have been UTTERLY scandalous!

Grow up, les......you think the Dems haven't been EVER? You think all those stories about the Clintons were just plain false, that "conservative conspiracy"? REALLY? Sandy Berger screws up, he gets NOTHING..Pelosi's budding scandal with her husband's business was nipped by the msm, Feinstein's bigger scandal which started to bud two weeks ago suddenly DISAPPEARED!

Ya, you're right.....it COULD be the Republicans are just plain awful. But, really, you should stop the silliness and realize that the media's controlling you and me these days, and THEY are decidedly on YOUR side, pal.

Very American, huh? VERY American. Congratulations, lefties......shame on you.

You're right, J'Mac...they DO NOT allow anyone up there...unless it's THEIR guys.

Hm....sounds like our media, huh? They can say ANYTHING they like about THE OTHERS, make up stuff, mischaracterize, lie..........but let it be THEIR agenda........silence.

That mountain's been silent until the Turks decided this might make them look more GREEN FRIENDLY to the EU. The genocide of Armenians, they think, will be forgotten if they looK GREEN. Typical. And the EU just might buy it.

RS. You are truly clownish in your analysis. Blowing my argument out of the water? With what? Right wing rumors? I see no links, I see no proof. I mean just saying something, especially here, just doesnt make it true...[sigh]

Ouch! Wow, your baseless, unprovable arguments sure showed me a thing or two. I mean "his phony Purple Heart Medals" (thoroughly disproven), "Valerie Plame wasn't covert" (in spite of what the latest CIA documents say), "Halliburton was awarded jobs because they were ready to go to Iraq with the needed equipment--and they were the best ones to do the job there" (I'm sure they just misplaced the $10Billion that is missing), "Clinton sabotaging our military and being responsible for 9/11" (thats right, it was his watch that 9/11 happened on and he is still overextending our military).

So, yes, you are right, because we dont need no stinking facts, or even documented statements. You are right because you and the rest of the 19% of America who believe this just wish it were right.

I stand corrected after taking me to the woodshed like that!

Bwwhhaaaahahaaahahhhahhahahaaa!
