FROM DU: The Real Reason I Support Hillary? Bill...Yup I admit it - forget the whole its time for a female president, forget any of her policies... I don't care.
I know, I know - Bill will be put on the back burner, so there is no question who is president, I don't care.
I know he is not perfect, still don't care.
So why Bill?
1.He already has established relations (not that kind... I don't think) with foreign leaders, and since we sooooo need to repair the damage done.
2.The right has already tried everything to discredit him and Hillary - everything from impeachment, to whitewater, to accusing them of murder--you name it--they have done it. And the Clintons come out stronger and the right slimier.
3. And its a huge FUCK YOU to the right - the Clintons, for reasons I don't understand, are like the boogey men for the right wing. They so hate the Clintons, I want them back in the White House.
If people can vote for a president they most want to have a beer with, my reasons are as good as any. I am tired of hiding behind nobler reasons for wanting Hillary. Forget more cow bell, I need more Bill. For those getting ready to slam me, save it. At least I am honest for my reasons. (nadine_mn)

Yes, per the Bush Derangement Syndrome precis, nadine_mn outlines the raison d'etra of the tantrum-age Left. Believe me, between dreaming of Utopia and their juvenile desire for revenge, their political thoughts--even their world views--go no deeper than this. Life seems a continual catty school dance to these folks.
'Bumpersticker politics' is a child all their own. Let's remember this in '08.

This only serves to highlight something said by Rush once a few months back. He said that most of the women who vote for Hill really want Bill back in office.
It makes sense when you think of it from a VERY shallow (leftist/emotional) perspective. Let's say you are a Dem who "cares" for everyone just like Bill seems to do so well.
He's just SO compelling on TV! The UN and the Euro leaders just LOVE our President, ain't it all wonderful? They like us, they like us!
OMIGOD! He just got caught with an intern! So he's a man. It's the fault of that chippie and the no sex woman he married long ago. It's a wonder he stayed with her so long, he must be a wonderful guy for staying with Hillary who seems to have some "rough edges" if ya know what I mean.
I sure do hope that Hillary sticks by Bill and saves his wonderful Presidency. This is almost like Camelot...

And a good morning to you! We had a GREAT time in Macon. We took a two hour tour of the Hay House. It was built by the Johnston family in 1851 and finally given by the Hays to the Georgia Historical trust in the 50's. What an extraordinary mansion! Later that night we had beaner food at a converted Dennys and it was GOOOOD. I speak pretty good Spanish, but I also have a policy of speaking English ONLY here in America to put the onus on them to learn our language. EXCEPT in Mexican restaurants. You don't want them screwing with your food! :-)
BTW DONAL you get into the minds of these nitwits SO well that you almost seem like a converted liberal. I was halfway in their camp once upon a time.

You ever see anyone slam anyone at DU, the land of no dissent? I swear that's why we have so many lefties at FPM, here, etc..they want somebody to really TALK to, not just a Greek chorus of sycophants with nothing in their heads but liberal dogma.
What I see repeated over and over again in leftist "thought" is the childish belief that emotions validate any position. If you feel something, then whatever you say must is true, and therefore, unassailable. How sad.
They lefties are busy slamming the Republicans for not wanting to do that Youtube debate format; I was thinking a bit along Russet Shadows' lines...it's so easy to 'talk liberal'..it's so cozy, so cheap and all about feelings. To take questions from an audience, Republicans have to first take the time to unteach the leftist pablums Americans have learned from school, then tell them why and how they'd fix things. It's a process, not sound bytes.
