Utah Mine Rescue Effort Grinds Ahead

Teams of rescuers struggled to clear tunnels and brought in drilling equipment Tuesday, trying to reach six coal miners trapped by a cave-in more than 1,500 feet below the surface.
With no word on whether the six were still alive, crews worked through the night in shifts, with teams coming and going along the road leading to the Crandall Canyon mine in a forested canyon.
"Right now I can't say if it's looking any better," weary miner Leland Lobato said. "They're doing what they can to keep everybody as fresh as possible so nobody gets tired."
Several other miners emerged with blackened cheeks after an all-night shift.
The trapped miners were believed to have been in a chamber 3.4 miles inside the Crandall Canyon mine. Rescuers were able to reach a point about 1,700 feet from that point before being blocked by debris.

The owner of the mine just said Associated Press and all their syndicates are lying about the situation..and added "this morning, FOX was at it, too.." "I respectfully request that you report the truth.. and not information from individuals who have no knowledge.."
He added something about how important it is to report the TRUTH and how unAmerican it is that they're not. Amen, brother.!
Pray for this man....he's really suffering.

G-d bless and keep them safe. These miners do a dangerous job, and they're well aware of those dangers. Everyone say their prayers for them.
DONAL I don't know the specifics of what the guy was bitching about with Fox, but they do have a few libby dumbasses. Two days ago I saw one of them (Spanish descent & GORGEOUS) seriously ask a structural engineer guest "if raising taxes would provide the necessary funds for bridge repairs, why don't you think that this Congress and President have done this yet?"
She was responding to a hysterical letter from a Minnesota woman and gave it credibility as if it truly was a valid point.
To the credit of the engineer he completely ignored the question. He's a better man than I. :-)
Minnesota is running a $2.5 BILLION surplus! Why raise more taxes? Most of the states are swimming in monmey right now.

D..there is something called, if I remember correctly, 'retrieval mining" and that's apparently NOT what this mine does and the owner was outraged at the press suggesting they were...he just felt the facts weren't correct and he said (big surprise?) you can't trust our medida. Amen, brother.
MORGAN....FOX's Shepard Smith was showing video of the papparazzi swarming with cameras around Paris Hilton and said "Gee, too bad the guys running this war don't have that type of scrutiny". Ya, FOX, the BIG CONSERVATIVE CHANNEL. OH, sure..........Smith also SLAMMED the Bush admin for Katrina, never ONCE mentioning how the Feds can't go into a State after a disaster UNLESS the State specifically requests it, which Nagin and Landrieux had NOT done. Lots of misrepresentation from some of the Fox folks.
What's a real laugh is how left leaning CNN is and you never EVER EVER have a turncoat like that bum, Smith, and still it's known to be "real news" versus the "conservative" news at FOX. IMagine? Every single FOX panel has left AND right represented, CNN rarely does...but FOX is biased! You'd laugh if you didn't realize most of America doesn't know the truth.
