REMEMBERING 9/11--AND ALL OUR DAYS:

REMEMBER 9/11 AND THE DAY AFTER?

On Monday, there were people fighting against praying in schools. On Tuesday, you would have been hard pressed to find a school where someone was not praying.

On, Monday there were people trying to separate each other by race, sex, color and creed. On Tuesday, they were all holding hands.

On Monday, we thought that we were secure. On Tuesday, we learned better.

On Monday, we were talking about athletes being heroes. On Tuesday, we relearned what "hero" really meant.

On Monday, people went to work at the World Trade Center, as usual. On Tuesday, they died.

On Monday, people were fighting The Ten Commandments on government property. On Tuesday, the same people all said 'God help us all' while thinking 'Thou shall not kill.'

On Monday, people argued with their kids about picking up their rooms. On Tuesday, the same people could not get home fast enough to hug their kids.

On Monday, people picked up McDonalds for dinner. On Tuesday, they stayed home.

On Monday, people were upset that their dry cleaning was not ready on time. On Tuesday, they were lining up to give blood for the dying.

On Monday, politicians argued about budget surpluses. On Tuesday, grief stricken, they sang 'God Bless America.'

On Monday, we worried about the traffic and getting to work late. On Tuesday, we worried about a plane crashing into our houses or places of business.

On Monday, we were irritated that our rebate checks had not arrived. On Tuesday, we saw people celebrating people dying in the United States of America.

On Monday, some children had complete families. On Tuesday, they were orphans.

On Monday, our President was going to Florida to read to children. On Tuesday, he returned to Washington to protect our children.

On Monday, we emailed jokes. On Tuesday ...we did not.

It is sadly ironic how it takes horrific events to place things into perspective, but it has. The lessons learned this week, the things we have taken for granted, the things that have been forgotten or overlooked--hopefully--will never be forgotten again.

On Monday - pray and be thankful. On Tuesday - pray and be thankful. On Wednesday - pray and be thankful. On Thursday - pray and be thankful. On Friday - pray and be thankful. On Saturday - pray and be thankful. On Sunday - pray and be thankful.

Sorry for the delay--a little fine tuning--and I didn't know whether to post it now, or wait 'til tomorrow...

It really is very heartfelt and touching--and it came along right when I'd wished for something for 9/11 NOT found on the MSM! Thanks, TMW, indeed!

I wish I had written it! It was sent to me by a friend, but it was so good I had to share! So true, we don't realize what we have until we either lose it (G*D forbid) or come close to losing it! I know for myself, I don't get all upset about certain things with my 2, I could lose them to an accident or disease or horrendous crime. Having them here, with me is more important, sometimes, than seeing their floors! I think we can major on the minors or cherish what G*D has blessed us with and LIVE!
Donal, please change the attribution, I don't want to claim what isn't mine, just share what blessed me! Thanks!

On Tuesday, I canceled my homeschool classes as we awaited word on two fathers. They were safe! One was on the other side of the Pentagon, the other called out of the building at the last minute (around 8:30, I think)--thank God. He would have normally been in one of the rooms taking the brunt of the impact.

On Wednesday, we prayed in class.

Wonderful posting!

I was at the local car repair, my late was at work, as we watched the report of the first plane hitting, we were watching the live shot on CNN. As I sat there looking, all I could think was, the sky is clear, how could it hit? Then we watched live as the second plane went in, at that point I said aloud that's NO accident, that was on purpose! The mechanics, the owner, his son and daughter in law, another customer and I, all we could do was pray. I called my husband at work and kept him and his coworkers appraised of what was going on, until he left! I can see in my mind's eye that second plane, staight and steady. The sheer unreality of that is...words fail, how can you describe pure evil? How can you describe being in the presence of something so horrendous that the average, normal person couldn't even imagine it? The smoke was so appropriate for something straight out of Hell! For I have no doubts that that is where it was conceived! And the birth has shaken the foundations of the Earth! We looked Satan in the eye that day, some flinched away from the evil, others went to face it! Those that flinched are still among us whispering their soothing lies, their guilty lies and their stupid lies! Those who faced it and said that evil is here, well, we know not all their names, but ours are among them! A very good company.

TMW--It WAS provided by you, hon --and a blessing it was for you to share it. I was looking for just the right thing when you sent it (funny, that..!)

If you have your friends name, and it's okay for me to use it, or you have some other particular wording of 'written by a friend of The Merry Widow', I'll be happy to add it!

I don't know where she got it from, one of those things that gets passed around till only the author remembers who did it! Oh well, I'm still glad I got it and it can be shared beyond my "little" world!

We all know where I was on that morning. Yet, this day should belong to the rescue personel who paid the ultimate price on that day.

I have never seen the haunting foreboding look on the face of the NYFD as they raced to join history.
Many of them knew they were not coming home, but they followed the call of duty.

BEAK--Yes, I always think of you and your wonderful descriptions of NYC--your touching descriptions of the WTC afterwards...

Those brave firemen and policemen who went to their duty are TRULY the bravest people on earth. As the folks aboard flight 93 showed us (and TMW's post stated) we now have a definition of the word 'hero' specially our own.

TMW--How wonderful--and how nice of you!! I'd love to be able to meet some of the great people I've gotten to know online--I know so many--but hubby says no...(after that Socrates thing, he's suspicious of everyone!)

I hope you have a wonderful time!

Donal- Your schweetie is doing his job! Protecting you! Good on him! You are living in a different area than I am, so caution is important, even I do not extend myself very much online. I probably should be more careful! But Jack and wife are good folks and I am looking forward to meeting them in person. Remember, there are a number of us you will be spending eternity with, good times indeed!
Good morning, G*D bless and Maranatha!

Beautiful tribute MW. Five years on and my heart is still broken and I'm angry as hell. I hate Islam and Muslims. I never wanted to hate anyone, but for a pgymy culture like Islam and its lust for blood and death, its east to do. Its very easy for me to hate people who want to kill me. Its the ''homegrown'' jihadis, like Howard Dean and the rest like him I hate the most. What in Gods mane does it take for someone, having seen what true evil is,to hate their own country so much? To honestly believe ones own government could possibly do such a thing?. Words fail me today. This isn't over yet,the jihadis are still out there. They haven't let up and I pray there isn't another 9/11 on the horizon. God Bless all those who were killed that awful day and may HE comfort those who mourn who lost friends and love ones. J'Mac.

J'mac- I hate Evil! it is as simple as that. Loke I said in one of my comments, we looked Evil in the eye that day! the thing is, are we going to go hide in a corner and pretend it's "the boogieman's" fault, or are we going to suck it up, call Evil, Evil and deal with it? I've made my choice, I will call Evil what it is, in spite of the creeping liars who want to blame the victims! I hate Evil, but I especially hate The LIE! And the Father of Lies! I will stand against him till my last breath, he can try to shut me up, but he'll have to kill me to do that! Since I'm not the only one standing against him, shutting me up will accomplish little! There will just be more light shining on his dark deeds. He's a loser and I despise his high treason!

Thank you Mery Widow. That was a very beautiful reply. Evil is always in the minority, and yet it can prospers becuase all it needs is ''for good men to do nothing''. I don't know what is ahead for all of us;I just pray we will defeat this evil in our time. Our children cannot live in a world like this. We owe them that much. J'Mac.

Hey folks,go on over to FPM today, the lead article by David Horowitz. I posed this question to all the Lefties: If 9/11 was a Bush/Rove plot, then were all the attacks during the 90's a Clinton/Gore plot? Take a look at the responses by Dubya and tricky and Juilus. I think you'll find them instructive. Johnnymac

J'Mac..they will NOT answer your question...but I had to write in there that I don't really believe all liberals think like that hideous Ward Churchill does...do you really believe that? That the "little Eichmans" line is shared by most Liberals?

still, it's amazing how much they're dancing around your question about pre 9/11 terror...... i'm even somewhat surprised by it.

Yes ZinLa,I do believe all liberals think that way. Why? Because I used to be one and I always believed the worst of my country until God gave me the sense to think clearly. (of course, seeing life thourgh a bottle had alot to do with how I thought!) Bless you mon cheri ami, thank you for your support.J'Mac.

Did you all see 'net observer' at FPM announce that the ABC film is even handed and makes Clinton AND Bush look bungling? Made me crack up because it's such an indictment of our left there who went CRAZY defending Clinton even though we ALL heard it was 'even handed' from the beginning...they were just too scared to think it could be and scared it could make their big hero look bad!

J'Mac...YOU WERE A LIBERAL? I'd LOVE to hear your epiphany! Write me!!
