What's Behind the Global Warming Hysteria...

Global Warming; the Globaloney Hysteria

Few bother to ask what is behind this frenzy to get the American people to buy into a scientifically discredited theory and those few who do quickly discover that the furor has nothing to do with climate change and everything to do with politics. The global warming campaign is the last gasp of the thoroughly discredited system of socialism.

Follow the path down which the Al Gore's and Mikhail Gorbachev's want to lead us and you will find yourself in a world ruled by a Marxist United Nations.

I cannot believe that people buy the "global climate change" crap. It proves a total void of intelligent thought, and you've called the UN thing to a T!

== Said the petition: "Research data on climate change do not show that human use of hydrocarbons is harmful. To the contrary there is good evidence that increased atmospheric carbon dioxide is environmentally helpful."==

In the above, what they mean by "environmentally helpful" is the "greening" effect carbon dioxide has on plant growth. Plants are thriving in most zones of the world right now because of a healthy level of CO2.

There is not one iota of evidence that effluvia from human activity is even 1% of the background greenhouse gas (background = gas that would be there even if there were NO humans). A major volcanic event spews huge amounts of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, dwarfing what humans can produce in a year or more.

But you never read facts like that when you're served up a new global-warming screamfest. Why?

Because there is another agenda behind this global warming nonsense -- redistribution of wealth from the first world nations (especially the US since our economy is larger than the next 4 largest economies combined) to the other world nations. Al Gore has long been a proponent of this sort of "equitable" distribution.

If we took all of the wealth of the top nations and spread it evenly across the whole world, what would be the impact? Almost none. Most of the world's population would still be mired in poverty. The population growth in the 3rd world alone would absorb much of the wealth given to them. The solution is NOT to take from those who have but to make it possible for those who do not now have the means -- the freedom and infrastructure -- to create their own wealth. That is the ultimate solution but to neo-socialists like Al Gore, facts don't really mean anything.

If facts were important to Al Gore, he would recognize the facts that are contrary to his "global warming" meme but he won't do so because he's here to convert, not educate.

I think there are pollutants we should try and reduce -- not because they are causing global warming but because they are unhealthy AND because their continued presence means we are still using inefficient production methods.

As Rush Limbaugh said, environmentalists are really watermelons, green on the outside and red on the inside!
