OBAMA WON'T WEAR AMERICAN FLAG

Obama Won't Wear Our American Flag
By Mike Glover--AP

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said he doesn't wear the American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for "true patriotism" since the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Asked about the decision Wednesday in an interview with KCRG-TV in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the Illinois senator said he stopped doing so shortly after the attacks and instead hoped to show his patriotism by explaining his ideas to citizens.

"The truth is that right after 9-11 I had a pin," Obama said. "Shortly after 9-11, particularly because as we're talking about the Iraq war, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security.

"I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest," he said in the interview. "Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testament to my patriotism."

Obama was campaigning in Iowa Thursday, the second day of a four-day trip to the early voting state.

I don't care what kind of hippydippy, we-are-the-world, verbal claptrap he comes up with, ANYONE WHO DELIBERATELY THROWS AWAY AN AMERICAN FLAG PIN, ISN'T AN AMERICAN.

Oh, I know he has amassed all his high minded sounding crapola--and you know he's going to bash President Bush in there somewhere--to make this seem like a 'noble' choice (he does the 'I-am-a-noble-man' pose very well) And now we see where that has gone--and where it's always been.

How much more of America is this man going to refuse?

At this point, Obama has become a fringe candidate -- the black Dennis Kucinich. I do not believe there was ever a scenario in which Obama could've won the White House although he did have a slight chance at the Democratic nomination. But no more.

The only people who would vote for Obama after this stunt are true-blue American-hating Woodstock wastoids.

But don't you think it says something about the state of the Democratic Party when it fields more nuts than serious candidates?

Despite all the money rolling into the Democrats, I am thinking there is more trouble in nutroot land than we're reading in the noisepapers.

Donal, I am always impressed by your truth words! "How much more of America is this man going to refuse?"

Arnold said everything that I was thinking and more! So my comment on this is, "How much of America is going to refuse this man?"
