We 'cut and ran' from Vietnam and the world did not come to an end and Vietnam did not cease to exist. It seems to me the country became a far better place to live in, in short order. (Master Mahon)

I guess we can just ignore the hundreds of thousands that died at the hands of the communists, the Khmer Rouge decimation of Cambodia, the emptying of entire cities, and another several hundred thousand boat people who died trying to leave that 'paradise'.
